Broadway Bound!
BY STEVEN GORDON, LEMONADE DAY NATIONAL PRESIDENT
Lemonade Day is heading to New York City! No, I’m not performing on Broadway nor am I attending a Broadway show. But I will be close to the “Great White Way”.
Next week I will be traveling to NYC for a series of Lemonade Day metro NY kick-off activities in connection with the Lemonade Day Brooklyn team
- To expose and engage interested parties in and around the Big Apple to Lemonade Day. This includes potential supporters, sponsors, mentors, volunteers, strategic partners and legislators.
- To expand on the foundation already built by Lemonade Day Brooklyn
We are also teaming up with our Gallup partners for a small briefing event. Gallup and Lemonade Day have an excellent relationship and we are continuing to bring the Lemonade Day movement across the country. The Impact Study we developed in conjunction with Gallup validates the philosophy that early intervention leads to impact.
Our Gallup partners have determined that entrepreneurial aspiration diminishes as children get older. Lemonade Day has proven that kids who participate in our program are more likely to be stronger contributors to the economy and their communities.
I am excited to bring the Lemonade Day vision and message to those who want to support our movement. It’s going to be a great week for Lemonade Day and youth entrepreneurship.
I welcome your comments and suggestions at any time. Please email me at steven@LemonadeDay.org.

Since 2007, the Lemonade Day program has been teaching leadership and business skills by encouraging children to launch a lemonade business in their community. The organization inspires young people with a desire to learn business skills and financial literacy to set up their lemonade stand where they can apply customer service skills, collaborate with business owners and investors and experience real-world business owner challenges.
Lemonade Day has expanded to over 84 licensed markets in the United States (including six U.S. military bases), Canada, Bermuda and South Africa. More than one million children and thousands of adult mentors have participated in Lemonade Day since 2007. Adults can register a child to participate in Lemonade Day and give them a taste of the sweet success that comes with owning their own business. For more information, visit lemonadeday.org.
