It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year – Lemonade Day Season is Here!
BY STEVEN GORDON, LEMONADE DAY NATIONAL PRESIDENT
From lawns to schools to storefronts and all around neighborhoods throughout the country, young entrepreneurs will be selling their tastiest lemony drinks and snacks while putting their business skills into action.
For Lemonade Day, this is probably the most exciting time of year for us. Watching kids put the lessons learned through our program into a real-life experience of owning a business. These lemonade stands are not your average spontaneous staple of our childhood, these entrepreneurs have put much thought into creating a business name, designing their stand, developing product, getting investor backing, choosing a prime location, marketing, and providing excellent customer service. Besides getting kids excited about business ownership, Lemonade Day also inspires confidence, self-determination, creativity, and a positive self-identity. It’s definitely a special day for thousands of kids.
Lemonade Day Season begins in April and typically runs throughout the summer in over 80 locations. It’s not too late to register a child for a Lemonade Day near you. To find out more about registration or to patronage a lemonade stand near you, please visit www.lemonadeday.org/find-your-city.
In April, the following locations are putting the final preparations on Lemonade Day:
- Birmingham, AL
- Ohio State, OH
- Pendleton, SC
- Tuscaloosa, AL
- Tustin, CA
- Washington DC
- Wichita Falls, TX
Stop by and try some deliciousness! I promise you won’t be disappointed. Your taste buds will thank you!
Please share this blog with your friends, family members, and co-workers. All of us at Lemonade Day National Headquarters appreciate your support!
