List of Brands of Lemonade
At Lemonade Day, we know a few things really well. While we spend most of our time thinking of innovative ways to help kids learn about entrepreneurship, we also drink a lot of lemonade. As a result, we know a thing or two about recipes, brands, and making a great glass of sunshine. To help you make a decision on what to drink to beat the summer heat, we broke down the pros and cons of America’s best known brands of lemonade.
Top Lemonade Brands Available in the U.S.
The majority of lemonades on this list are available nationwide, at a store near you. However, there are a lot of local providers of lemonade worth checking out. We’ve included one, BeeSweet, on our list. Search your grocery story for excellent regional varieties of lemonade.
365 Pasteurized Lemonade
The store brand for national chain Whole Foods, 365, offers everything from cheese and milk to eggs and lemonade. 365’s lemonade has garnered national attention for its taste and highly quality ingredients. Mega blog, The Huffington Post, named 365 Pasteurized Lemonade, the winner of their lemonade taste test. Good Housekeeping thought highly of it as well. At nearly $4 for a 64 oz carton, 365 Lemonade is a bit pricey but ultimately worthwhile for personal consumption.
Odwalla Lemonade
Known for providing fresh, quality fruit juice, Odwalla Lemonade is pulpy (if you’re into that sort of thing) and sweet, but not too much. Available at Starbucks, Trader Joe’s, and other high end grocery or convenience retailers, Odwalls does have the drawback of being expensive. But if you’re going to spend some money on quick lemonade, it’s a really good option. Available in 12 ounce or 64 ounce bottles.
BeeSweet Lemonade
Any time we get a chance to shine a light on BeeSweet Lemonade, we’re going to do it. Founded by Lemonade Day Entrepreneur Mikayla Ulmer, BeeSweet uses natural fruit juice and locally sourced honey to create a wholesome and delicious beverage. The company was showcased on the ABC hit “Shark Tank” when Ms. Mikayla was only 10 years old. Her idea was funded and BeeSweet soon found itself in Whole Foods Grocery stores in numerous states. Mikayla Ulmer really showed us what’s possible when life gives you a couple of lemons.
Minute Maid
Minute Maid Lemonade is one of the many products of the beverage behemoth Coca-Cola. The Minute Maid brand produces a variety of fruit juices, including orange, pineapple, and, of course, lemonade. Reviews for Minute Maid lemonade are often mixed but the company does have a secret weapon. Their premium line of lemonade is deceptively tasty for its price. It’s so good that, rumor has it, whisky maker Jack Daniels offers it at the end of tours at their Lynchburg distillery. While the company never claims to make the non-alcoholic lemonade, visitors often mistakenly believe they do. Reviews on Yelp, Trip Advisor, and others are full of testimonials to the whiskey maker’s lemonade prowess. If they only knew…
Country Time
Commonly known as a mix or frozen concentrate product, Country Time is the low cost standard for lemonade. The company does offer prepared products in 20 ounce and 2 liter bottles. If you’re in a rush, Country Time is often the most readily available product and serves well in a pinch.
